We Saw the Game Differently – and We Changed It for the Better

An extraordinary Erasmus+ youth exchange took place in Grywałd, Poland, bringing together young people from Poland, Latvia, and Hungary through… blind football. The project “United Vision: See the Game Differently” was born out of passion and purpose — a dream shared by young athletes to create a space where everyone, regardless of ability, can play, learn, and inspire each other.

What happened?

From shared dinners and intercultural evenings to workshops on communication, leadership, and teamwork — every day was filled with meaningful experiences.Participants took part in blind football training, exchanged ideas with coaches and educators, and learned about diversity, empathy, and inclusion.

Project partners included organizations supporting Roma communities, people with disabilities, and a high school from Zabrze, Poland — whose students were fully engaged at every stage.

Key activities:

  • Blind football training Hands-on sessions with participants from Poland, Latvia, and Hungary — learning the rules of the game and breaking down barriers.

  • Educational workshops Focused on intercultural communication, leadership, and effective teamwork.

What did young people gain?

They also created lasting educational materials that will inspire future generations. This project showed that sport isn’t just about competition — it’s about community, empathy, and taking action together — no matter where we come from or how we see the world.
